Be a contestant in Pure Design’s Fashion Show
at the KidsLinked.com’s 6th Annual Columbus Children’s Festival, presented by Meijer, a free admission event at Westerville North High School!
Contestants will be showcasing the season’s biggest floral trends. Fashion show entry fees are $5/person. Winners will be featured in the fall issue of Pure Design Teen Magazine.
Guidelines must be followed in order to participate.
Outfits must be modest. This is a family friendly event.
(Modest definition: having or showing regard for the decencies of dress)
- No spaghetti strap or strapless dresses or shirts.
- Skirts or dresses need to be fingertip length
- No “booty-shorts”
- No fishnet stockings
- Clothing should not be “skin-tight”
- No bathing suits
- No underwear used as outer wear

A portion of the proceeds of this event will go to support Starfish Alliance’s mentoring programs (G.I.R.L Talk and LINK22) that help youth engage in tough topics of discussion and develop creative problem solving skills through a Design Thinking framework.
Alissa Henry is a feature reporter for Good Day Columbus on ABC 6 and FOX 28, a lifestyle correspondent on Fox 28’s Good Day Marketplace and the CW Star on the CW Columbus. Born and raised right here in Columbus, Alissa enjoys working in her hometown at her favorite TV station highlighting the best people, places and events in Central Ohio. Alissa is active in her church, enjoys community outreach and loves the color pink. When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying inexpensive activities around Columbus with her husband Joe… and tweeting about it.
Ben Buchanan is a graduate of Westerville Central High School and 2 time graduate of The Ohio State University. He was an Ohio State Football Punter from 2008-201 and played in the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, 3x Big Ten Championship and was apart of the 12-0 2012 Team. Ben is currently an ABC/FOX Broadcaster, Ohio State Sports Management Doctoral (Phd) Candidate, and elder at Central College Presbyterian Church in Westerville.
